NEED TO KNOW’S
Just a few updates for you all with some upcoming changes. We are excited to announce that we will be having our soft opening on November 28th (Black Friday) for our in-house location where you will be able to access our delectables on a daily basis. Please follow our Facebook page for more detailed updates. Our soft opening will be from 12pm-3pm or while supplies last. We are excited about this new adventure as it is a small step towards our BIG goal.
Also, we are growing our family, expecting another little baker in the month of March. As we plan to continue to bake until our dough baby decides to grace us with her presence, we will be slowing down from the end of February to the Beginning of March to prepare for her arrival. Thank you in advance for understanding as we adapt to our new addition.

MEET DANNIE THE OWNER 👩🏽🍳
Hi! I’m Danyelle! I’m the owner and the ‘Dannie’ of Dannie’s Sugar Shoppe and recent 2nd place judges’ choice winner of Dessert Wars. My love for baking goes back to my childhood. As a child, I remember anxiously watching one of my grandmothers prepare fresh biscuits every day, eager for the day I was old enough to help her. My other grandmother always shared her favorite cooking tips as she cooked her famous delicious baked apples!
My first real shot at baking was when I was 10 years old when my grandma entered me into a baking competition for young bakers. The night ended with my strawberry cake being on the ground after I dropped it during my presentation. That may have been discouraging for some, but it somehow unlocked my love for baking more. I always go back to thinking “I know I would have won”. I now make sure I win with every dessert made for my customers ☺
I owe God all the Praise for the blessings in my life. I am thankful He has kept both of my grandmothers on this Earth. This is not only because of the naturally inherited baking skills, but to still guide me to be the best baker I can be.
I'm thankful for my family and especially my guardian angel, my uncle, who saw the potential in me at an early age. He is no longer here, but whenever I feel discouraged, I can hear him saying “Mable, you got this”. Dreams do still come true, and this is still just the beginning of what’s to come!
